FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A home on the northwest side of Fort Wayne has heavy damage after a fire Sunday morning. The Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) says crews were sent to the 2400 block of Bellflower Lane at around 7:30 a.m.
They found the flames coming from an attached garage.
According to the FWFD, two adults and one child, as well as their three pets, were inside, and everyone was able to evacuate safely.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The FWFD released the following:
Fort Wayne Allen County 911 received calls reporting a house on fire. A neighbor alerted the residents that there was a fire in their attached garage. Three adults and their three pets safely evacuated the home. Fort Wayne Fire Engine 7 arrived first on the scene and extinguished fire in the garage and garage attic space. Other crews searched the house to ensure everyone was safely out. No injuries occurred at this incident, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
