FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Area 4th of July festivities are getting underway. Fort Wayne and the surrounding counties have tons of patriotic fun in store for 2026 celebrations to ring in the nation’s 250th birthday.
In Fort Wayne, the most notable fireworks display will take place downtown on Saturday.
Many other celebrations have fireworks kicking off at dusk, which is currently slated to fall at 9:50 p.m. Visit Fort Wayne has a comprehensive list of all the northeast Indiana July 4th displays.

The Fort Wayne Police Department put out a reminder about when you can set off fireworks and what to do if you have any complaints.

Fireworks Reminder for Fort Wayne Residents
As we get closer to the Fourth of July, please remember that the City of Fort Wayne has rules for when and where consumer fireworks may be used.
Fireworks are only allowed during these dates and times around the 4th of July Holiday:
June 29 – July 3: 5:00 p.m. until two hours after sunset
July 4: 10:00 a.m. until midnight
July 5 – July 9: 5:00 p.m. until two hours after sunset
