FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne City Council gave the green light to five additional infrastructure projects this week. At the Tuesday meeting, projects totaling over $4 million were approved.
The following was released on Wednesday:
Fort Wayne’s investment in neighborhood infrastructure improvements continues. Five more projects at an investment of $4.685 million led by the City of Fort Wayne’s Public Works Division received final approval from City Council last evening.
*Inwood Drive rehabilitation from East State Boulevard to Lake Avenue – $1.32 million with completion anticipated for August 2027.
*Alley improvements in the areas of Kenwood Avenue, Curdes Avenue, North Anthony Boulevard, and Crescent Avenue – $153,350 with completion expected in October.
*Growth Avenue brick street repairs phase II – $633,072 with completion anticipated in April 2027.
*Pettit-Rudisill neighborhood concrete street repairs phase five – $698,050 with completion expected in April 2027.
*West Cook Road concrete repairs from Huguenard to Lima roads – $1.897 million with completion anticipated this fall. The Redevelopment Commission/tax increment financing will fund this project.
Under Mayor Sharon Tucker’s leadership, the City is investing $37 million in neighborhood infrastructure enhancements this year.
