INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Several voter advocacy groups want lawmakers to enact a “voter bill of rights” to make voting easier and increase turnout statewide.
MADVoters Indiana’s Amy Courtney says Hoosiers “deserve policies that safeguard our elections while protecting the right to vote.”
They are proposing protecting the state’s open primary system, issuing a state voter guide, and advocating for citizen redistricting commissions.
Indiana Friends Committee on Legislation’s Mary Blackburn says voters need a clear understanding of who is seeking to represent them and why.
