WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – The NCAA national champion Indiana Hoosiers football team visited the White House on Monday afternoon to celebrate their title.
Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza was not part of the event, but he called President Trump to explain why he wasn’t there after he was drafted number-one overall by the Las Vegas Raiders last month.
IU beat the Miami Hurricanes 27-21 in the national championship game on January 20th at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, and finished the season 16- 0.
