Here’s what’s new to TV and streaming…
• Game 1 of the ” NBA Playoffs: Conference Semi-Finals” at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on NBC. The New York Knicks host the Philadelphia 76ers.
• Game 1 of the ” NBA Playoffs: Conference Semi-Finals” at 9:30 p.m. EST on Peacock. The San Antonio Spurs host the Minnesota Timberwolves.

• “American Idol” at 8:00 p.m. on ABC. Paul Abdul serves as a guest judge and Randy Jackson is a guest mentor as the Top 5 finalists perform duets with some of the fan favorites from 20 years ago before the vote for the Top 3.
(That was the show’s fifth season . . . the one where Katherine McPhee lost to Taylor Hicks. The returning 2006 finalists are Taylor Hicks, Paris Bennett, Kellie Pickler, Elliott Yamin and Bucky Covington.)
• The eighth season finale of “The Rookie” at 10:00 p.m. on ABC.
• The first season finale of “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord” on Disney Plus.
• The premiere of the four-part “Lord of the Flies” limited series on Netflix. A TV adaptation of the classic novel about a group of British boys who descend into savage violence after being stranded on an uninhabited island. (Trailer)
