COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (ADAMS) – Elizabeth “Beth” Rogers, a lifelong resident of Columbia City, is preparing to open BK’s Custom Creations and Supplies, a new craft retail store, in the Town and Country Shopping Center, at 484 West Plaza Drive, Columbia City, IN on August 12, 2023.
The store will offer a full range of crafting supplies, with an emphasis on customizations including sublimation, laser engraving, and hydro graphics. Additionally, the store will carry a wide variety of supplies for different uses, including acrylic and oil-based paints and painting supplies, beads and beading supplies, yarn and knitting/crocheting supplies, and epoxy and epoxy equipment, to name just a few of the choices that will be available to Whitley County crafters. The business plans to also launch an assortment of classes throughout the year, offering classes to help those individuals that want to get into crafting but do not know where to start, or they do not know what kind of craft they would like to pursue.
Representatives released the following:
While new to business ownership, Beth Rogers is not new to crafting. She has been engaged in crafting for decades, and has training and experience in all types of crafting that will be supported by the store. Beth’s inspiration for opening the store was a desire to bring quality products at a reasonable price to local crafters who have had to drive to Fort Wayne or other communities to make purchases. “I am excited to be able to provide a local shopping experience for crafters,” Beth says about the location. “Unlike “big box” retailers, we will take the time to get to know our customers and provide a fun environment where people of all ages can learn new crafts. Customers will be able to speak with fellow crafters at the store and our staff will be knowledgeable and experienced in the crafting market as well.”
The business will work with home-based and small businesses and business owners to allow them to promote their finished craft products in an area of the store known as Crafters’ Corner. Beth is committed to creating an environment to support small businesses and create an alliance, working together to provide the necessary equipment and supplies to grow their offerings and thrive.
Hours for the new store are Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A schedule of classes that will be offered onsite will be available within the next couple of months.
