Brody Dixon
GARRETT, Ind. (ADAMS) – A Garrett man is in custody on child pornography charges. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says that 37-year-old Brody Dixon was arrested Wednesday after police got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He is charged with possessing child pornography.
WANE-TV reports that he was a teacher and coach at Garrett High School. WANE’s report shows that the Garrett-Keyser-Butler Community School District removed Dixon as a teacher from its website following the arrest.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office released the following:
On 29 May 2024, around 0830 hours, detectives with the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office who are partnered with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, arrested 37-year-old Brody D. Dixon, of the 400 block of S. Ijams, Garrett, IN after conducting an investigation which stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.
Brody was transported to the Dekalb County Jail where he has been initially charged with the following
charges: Possession of Child Pornography, a level 5 Felony.
