INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – There are new visitor restrictions now in place at Riley Hospital for Children.
This comes amid a rise in pediatric respiratory cases, including RSV and rhinovirus. The hospital says they’ve had 76 kids diagnosed with RSV in the last two weeks and 83 cases of rhinovirus since mid-September.
To prevent the spread of illness, Riley is no longer allowing anyone under the age of 18 to visit, and pediatric inpatients are limited to two parents or guardians and up to four designated visitors. Only two visitors can visit at a time and anyone showing signs of illness are asked not to visit until they are healthy.
