COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – Minimum wage workers in Columbus are set to get a raise starting this weekend. Beginning January 1st, 2022, Ohio’s minimum wage will increase to $9.30 an hour for non-tipped employees, which is a raise of 50 cents, while tipped employees will receive a 25-cent per-hour raise to $4.65.
Ohio will be among 25 states seeing their workers get a raise in 2022.
With the increase, the Buckeye state will still pay its minimum wage workers less than neighboring Michigan but more than West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky.
