Schools in Texas are being told they can issue mask mandates as a way to prevent COVID from spreading. The governor had banned the rules but a federal judge said that put children with disabilities at risk. The attorney general vows to challenge the ruling, which could affect more than five million students. It could also impact similar cases across the nation. At least eight other states have a mask mandate ban in place.
While the U.S. and China are pledging to tackle climate change together over the next decade. Climate envoy John Kerry called it a step in the right direction. Both countries signed an agreement yesterday at the climate summit in Scotland, which ends tomorrow.
